(co)LAB:
the planted seed of Spirit-watered by movement & music sanctuary. rooted in practice, experimentation, discovery. branches share and exchange. clouds whisper, “play”. stardust illuminating portals to our remembering and undoing as a means of returning to the void, the womb of potentiality. (co)lab refers to this exploratory space, acknowledging that we are never vibing (or existing) alone, but are (co)LABorating with (affecting and are affected by) our cells, sound frequencies, energetic force, Great Spirit, Tierra Madre (Mother Earth), environment, and with one another at all times, whether we are aware of it or not.
(co)LAB:
a movement & sound-healing practice…a creative space… where rigor, rest, somatic care, laughter, love for body/mind/Spirit/Earth, & infinite potential can co-exist. Where the human (be)ing can be(come) (be)lieve & be ALIVE, with respect to all bodies and movement backgrounds… recalibrating to the analog - healing sounds of nature

Water Movement Practice
Inspired by Emoto’s research on water and consciousness, we are interested in learning from the water in and around our bodies in relationship to thought, prayer, and word.
Here, Sarah is exploring contact improvisation in a pool.
Honoring the Divine Within
We consider improvisation and freestyle practices a sacred expression- the body as vessel of The Divine.
In this photo from “Mangata”, a piece remembering the divine feminine, our interconnectedness, and the eternal, we are given a glimpse into Nomi and Peg supporting one another.

Lessons from the River
There’s no need to resist the flow.
No need to be afraid of moving forward.
And the reason is the you are water.

Meet the Neighbors
According to the tales of The Penobscot natives of Maine, the moose used to be the whale, and as a strong swimmer, it can plunge underwater for up to a minute. The water & sea teaching it brings aligns with feminine, creative, maternal, and intuitive energies. -Ted Andrews, Author of Animal Speak.
